Submission Requirements:
-3-5 examples of previous/relevant work
-First, second, third choice of installation site
-Paragraph proposing your installation (may include drawings of proposed works)
-Artist Statement

Works should relate to the Pepperell Mill’s manufacturing history as well as its current state of revitalization and re-imagining. To engage the Maine community (specifically York and Cumberland counties with their histories in textile production) by creating site-specific public works which interpret the mill’s multi-sensory experience.
The culmination of the collective efforts will result in a month-long arts event to be held on the Pepperell Mill campus in Biddeford, ME beginning in mid-September of 2018.
We welcome 2-d, 3-d, projections, as well as performance or audio artworks. Preference will be given to installations that engage the local community and focus on the mill’s current state of flux.
*Please keep in mind that there may be no permanent fixtures or murals and that the installation site should be returned to its original state. The Mill is a multi-purpose space so consider that the public, mill employees, etc. will be working and walking around these installations.
